Approval given as learning provider for MOD!

We are delighted to announce that we have been recognised as an approved learning provider of Enhanced Learning Credits.

Enhanced Learning Credits Administration Service (ELCAS) are the organisation who on behalf of the MOD provide financial support to members of the armed forces to promote lifelong learning amongst members of the Armed Forces.

We have a unique position as a Recognised Training Centre (RTC) of the RYA as any course that is eligible has to meet very specific criteria, one of which is that the course has to be at Level 3 or above on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) or Level Six or above on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) on this basis we have approved status for RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore and Coastal course and RYA Cruising Instructor course.

To be eligible to make an ELC claim and individual must be employed by the MOD and must have completed 4 or 6 years qualifying service, more details can be found here.

The MOD are as expected extremely diligent and have exhaustive application process for their providers. They are looking at all aspects of the business from our last financials, to how we deal with our data and we are delighted not only to be accepted but to be the only approved learning provider in Scotland of these courses!

We look forward to welcoming our first Yachtmaster or Cruising Instructor candidate from the forces!
