Birthplace of European civilization

Greece

In our opinion, one of the best places to sail. Join us on our 45ft Sun Odyssey, ‘Hana Antonie’, as we leave from a beautiful village called Korfos, about two hours drive from Athens airport. Korfos village lies on a bay nestled at the bottom of the mountains and is literally the end of the road. The next seven days will be spent visiting Greek islands: for example, the town of Poros, with its popular clock tower and numerous tavernas. On Aigina island we will visit the temple of Aphaia - if you are adventurous, it can be done by moped. Vathi in Methana is a hidden gem with a beautiful traditional harbour. You will see the traditional white washed buildings in Hydra, which is an island with no cars, only donkeys. In Epidavros you can dive to the sunken city and eat fresh produce from local farmer, Dimitris. Epidavros also has one of the best preserved ancient amphitheatres in Greece, which is just a short taxi or bus drive inland. Depending on the time of year, there may even be turtles on the island of Metopi - if not, the island is still a beautiful stop for a Greek lunch of olives, feta, tzatziki and pita. Depending on the winds, our final night will be spent on the island of Agistri, a traditional village with white washed walls and, we believe, the best souvlaki and pita gyros in the area!

Just a short four hour flight to Athens from all the major UK airports, we can help to organise transfers and accommodation in Korfos before and after the sailing trip. Included in the price is breakfast and lunch, any mooring fees, fuel and full skipper's services.
