Introducing our new flagship Global Surveyor

We are delighted to announce that Global Surveyor is joining our Go West Sailing fleet. This incredible vessel was designed and built by Gunter Marine. The original owner, Graham Lascelles, intended her for sailing adventures around the world, with safety being of paramount importance. The original build took place in 1998, but we have recently given her a major refit to ensure she is in first class condition for our ultimate offshore sailing adventures.

She has been deliberately over-specified with 7 watertight compartments and crash bulkheads, extra thick hull, oversized cutter rig, 150kg main anchor and a 2000 litre diesel tank with many other extras that are not commonplace on a sailing yacht. She has extensive safety equipment, including 2 ocean class life rafts for 12 people and satellite communication.

The interior of the yacht has been designed with comfort and safety in mind. There is a very large saloon with mahogany panelling and a dining table that seats 16 people comfortably. Each cabin is equipped with a ceiling reading lamp and a USB port for charging devices. The yacht is designed for 16 passengers, but we limit ourselves to a maximum of 10 plus 2 crew members in 5 spacious cabins. This makes for a truly up-close experience!

The following video was created by the original owners (Sail Global Surveyor) and provides an authentic first-hand account of the build and inaugural voyages of this beautiful ship that attracts attention wherever she goes.

Whether you are a seasoned sailor or have never stepped foot on a boat before, our Global Surveyor sailings are perfect for everyone. Our offshore sailing expeditions will take you to the most fascinating destinations on Earth like Antarctica, Brazil, Greenland, Iceland, Azores, Canaries, Madeira, Uruguay, Patagonia and more.
